Biography

Katelynn Hooks hails from Springfield, Ohio, and her passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable individuals runs deep. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wright State University before embarking on her legal journey at Northern Kentucky Chase Law. In August 2019, she successfully obtained her Juris Doctorate. 

During her time at Chase, Katelynn actively engaged in the Children's Law Clinic, nurturing her dedication to safeguarding the rights of children. Simultaneously, she devoted herself to the Children's Law Center, serving as an Education Advocate while diligently preparing for the Bar Exam. 

In 2020, Katelynn relocated to western Kentucky following her admission to the Kentucky Bar, becoming a licensed attorney. Her professional reach expanded as she obtained licensure in both Ohio and Tennessee. Katelynn then joined Cotthoff & Willen in April 2022, contributing her legal expertise and unwavering commitment to the practice of law. 

Before her current role, Katelynn held significant positions that enriched her understanding of the legal landscape and honed her advocacy skills. From 2019 to 2020, she fervently championed the rights of children within the educational system as an Education Advocate at the Children's Law Center. 

Continuing her dedication to protecting and advocating for the welfare of children, Katelynn assumed the role of M.D.T. Coordinator at the Pennyrile Children's Advocacy Center from 2020 to 2022. 

With a diverse range of experiences and an unwavering commitment to justice, Katelynn McDaniel remains steadfast in her pursuit of making a positive impact through her legal practice.
